Lauren-Ashley Heastie is an Administrative Cadet employed within the Ministry of Youth Sports and Culture where she facilitates, creates and manages programs and activities that help to positively impact the lives of Bahamian youth. With a passion for helping others, Lauren-Ashley obtained her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and is currently pursuing her Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counselling at Barry University. Upon completion of her studies, she hopes to further her career in Addiction and Individual Counselling.
Lauren-Ashley’s passion for helping others also sparked a spirit of volunteerism and advocacy. She is a member of various civic organizations such as Kappa Delta Sigma Graduate Chapter of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority Incorporated, Club 7773041 Pinewood Trendsetters Toastmasters Club, and The Bahamas Red Cross Society.
In her free time, she loves travelling, movies, the beach and a good book. Lauren-Ashley hopes that through her dedication to service to the mental health industry and youth engagement she will be able to help propel the mission of both fields in the Bahamas.
